Sir Alex Ferguson's decision to support lifting the FA's new manager Roy Hodgson as the England team. According to the Manchester United boss, Hodgson highly qualified to lead the Three Lions.
Appointment of Hodgson as manager of England was quite surprising. Because, Harry Redknapp is more favored to go at it.
Although Hodgson had never won the trophy with a big team, Ferguson believes his colleagues were still viable given the chance. Moreover, Hodgson who is now 64 years old who have managerial experience is more than enough.
"Roy had a fantastic experience. He was a good person and has the right profile for the job in every way," Ferguson said on Sky Sports.
"You can not beat experience. I always say that to the position of England manager, you need someone with the age of the '60s," he added.
"Adan need to enter the job with all the experience behind you, in the sense of whether you really need a football club when, at that age, you can handle the national team," said the man who worked at MU since 1986 was.
"I always say that Jock Stein was the perfect age to tackle Scotland. He has coached all of the experience at Celtic and Roy also had a similar experience. I hope he's working well," said Fergie.
"What surprised me was for the first time that I can remember, FA is not subject to the press," he said.
