The Football - Wenger Will Continue to Defend Van Persie

The Football - Robin van Persie's desire to leave Arsenal seemed to be unanimous. However, the manager Arsene Wenger is determined to keep hold of the captain to remain at the Emirates Stadium.

The future of Van Persie is currently in obscurity since he had recently rejected a contract extension offered by the club management. With a contract that will expire next summer, Arsenal certainly do not want to lose Van Persie free.

The three big clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus have lined up to get a signature 28-year striker. Until now Arsenal are still fixing the price of 30 million pounds for the devotees.

Although looks are half the corresponding resigned Van Persie, Wenger is not willing to be honest topskorernya last season's loss. The man that the French will do everything possible to make Van Persie change Arsenal stance and stay in uniform.

"For me Van Persie is one of the world's best striker, if not the best, and my desire is to keep this club," said Wenger told Arsenal Player.

"The rest I will do my best by Arsenal. And for now that's what we do. No longer can we say," Wenger lid.

The Football - Manchester United failed miserably in the Champions League last season. Felt it was learned from the mistakes of last season, Sir Alex Ferguson believes the Red Devils will not fail again.

MU Direct surprisingly eliminated in the group stage last season. In six games, they could only win two times and eventually compete with Benfica and Basel.

After descending to the Europa League any caste, city rivals Manchester City club also could not do much. They eliminated Athletic Bilbao in the last 16.

Ferguson clearly disappointed with the poor results. However, he has taken the wisdom behind the failure of his team and did not want to repeat the mistakes that he made.

"It's certainly not going to happen next season. There is no chance for it," he told the Mirror.

"In recent years, we take advantage of the group phase as an opportunity to play young players. Last season it backfired for us," said Ferguson.

"We are too much to change the team. We will not do it again this season," he said.

"I thought we were sloppy. What kills us is a home game against Basel (which ended 3-3). We could lead 5-1 at halftime, but we were really sloppy in that game," he beber 70 years.

"We were just unlucky against Benfica at home because we played good. However, in the match against Basel's really killing us. They're just regular team and they showed it was time to meet Bayern Munich."

When asked whether his team will now be able to win the Champions League this season, Ferguson replied: "Oh yes, definitely., Of course. There is no doubt about it," he concluded.
