Luiz has been sidelined since April 15 due to injury to the hamstringnya in the FA Cup semi-final match Tottenham Hotspur cons. Luiz later missed the last five games of the Blues.

Meanwhile Gary Cahill also got a hamstring injury while diving the second leg Champions League semi-final versus Barcelona. Both are expected to recover quickly and perform at Wembley on Saturday night and tomorrow in the FA Cup final match.

But unfortunately the day before the game, they have not shown signs of recovery and the absence of a team practice session on Friday morning local time. As a result caretaker team, Roberto Di Matteo, do not put their names in the squad.

To accompany John Terry at the back, it seems Di Matteo will install Branislav Ivanovic as a partner and Jose Bosingwa or Paulo Ferreira at right-back occupy the post.

"Both Luiz and Cahill had improved his condition, but have not been able to play in the FA Cup. Hopefully they can return to practice next week," said Di Matteo in the Telegraph.

FA Cup final is the match the first peak before diving Chelsea's Champions League final May 19 Bayern Munich next.
