Carles Puyol with a realistic chance
of trying to appear to defend the Spanish national team at Euro 2012. According
to him, the chance is very small, if not impossible.
Earlier this week the 34-year-old defender was seized with a knee injury that made him have to increase the operating table and pulled over for about six weeks.
The fact is no doubt a major stumbling block for Puyol to be performed in the European Cup which is going to start rolling in early June. Because the post-surgery he still needs recovery time.
"The truth will be very difficult, but I have to wait and see how its operations," Puyol said as quoted by Reuters.
"But I think it would be impossible because when you are finished there will be inoperable for a period of recovery and I assess players who are in better condition that it should be well chosen," concluded the player of the Barcelona club.
Puyol has been listed 99 senior appearances for the Spanish national team who began his martial arts in 2000. He also became part of 'Team Matador' which won the Silver medal at the 2000 Olympics, finished third in the 2009 Confederations Cup, European Cup 2008, and 2010 World Cup.
