The Football - The bad news hit the international players Nigeria, Christian Obodo. Udinese midfielder who last season was defending Lecce reportedly kidnapped in his native country.

Obodo told the family, kidnapping occurs when a player was 28 years old visiting relatives with his own driving, and stopped in the middle of the road taken by gunmen.

According to the brother-in-law named Obidike Okechukwu, the perpetrators demanded a ransom of 150 thousand euros, or about USD 1.7 billion.

"We can not give them more than 100 thousand euro. Unfortunately, things like this do happen in our country," said Kenneth Obodo.

Obodo kidnapping occurred in the city Warii, in southern Nigeria, which is an oil town, where the abduction to be the case that often happens.

In 2008, Everton defender Joseph siblings Tobo kidnapped and freed three days later. Last year, the father of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel also abducted before they can be freed by police action.
