Wenger to Arsenal challenge

football
Robin van Persie's fertile season. But Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger did not want that Van Persie's productivity makes the team less dependent on the goals from Dutch striker.

Last weekend Van Persie increase the coffers of his goal in the Premier League this season to 30 through a pair of goals against Norwich. Confirms an additional goal was top scorer at the top of the Premier League standings.

However, two goals from him could not bring victory for the Gunners game against Norwich when it ended with the score at 3-3.

The result leaves Arsenal's position in the top three standings, aka the last zone to qualify directly for the Champions League, threatened. With one match remaining, 'Gunner' is now just one point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the top four and two points ahead of Newcastle in the top five.

"When you see how many chances we created, it is hard to believe we can make only three goals," complained Wenger on Sky Sports.

"Once again we are being punished for Robin repeatedly had to make a goal and we did not get enough goals from other sectors," he continued.

Arsenal have a live game contra West Brom at the weekend to secure a position as well as tickets to the Champions League next season. He also cautioned that the Arsenal players are able to react positively.

"We have so many opportunities so you want other players to make goals. It is less frequent."

"Of course we have to analyze that problem because there is enough room to score six or seven goals," said Wenger.
